Google Calendar Reminders are coming to the web

posted May 11, 2016, 1:54 PM by Amanda Hudeck

Last year, Google launched Reminders in the Google Calendar app for iOS and Android systems. Now, Reminders for Google Calendar on the web are here. With Reminders, you can set a reminder for a specific time and date. To create a reminder, tap or click on a time in the calendar grid, then select “Reminder.”

Reminders carry forward until you mark them as “done” by clicking on the reminder and selecting “Mark as done.”

Please note:

  • Reminders created in the Google app and Keep will show in Google Calendar.

  • Reminders will sync to your Google Calendar Android and iOS apps.

  • Reminders are private and are not viewable, even if your calendar is shared with others.

  • Google Tasks users won’t be prompted to use Reminders. You can enable the feature from the drop-down menu on the Tasks calendar.
