Internationalized email addresses

UPDATED 8-14: While it is acceptable to use contacts with extended characters, you should NOT add such names to MCommunity. Although the MCommunity page will accept them and create an encoded entry, UMOD cannot handle encoded entries so the sync between the MCommunity group and the Google group will no longer function.


Starting soon, M+Google Mail (and shortly, Calendar) will recognize addresses that contain accented or non-Latin characters. That means you will be able to send emails to, and receive emails from, people who have these characters in their email addresses.This includes both the domain name (to the right of the @ symbol) and/or the local-part (to the left of the @ symbol), as in 武@メール.グーグル.
