Google is releasing the option to include hidden and/or filtered data in Google Sheets charts. This enhancement in Sheets gives users greater control, as well as preventing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets that contain hidden data from displaying inaccurately when converted to a Google Sheet. When users create a chart in a Google Sheet on the web and filter/hide any portion of the source data, a message lets the user know the data has been removed from the chart and provides an option to include it.
Though the option only appears on the web, the settings remain on mobile devices as well. Users can change the settings on the web by expanding the chart menu in the upper right corner and selecting Advanced edit. From the Chart Editor, select Chart types.
